• I walked into the Dogspaw for the first time, to get my dog's shots at the shot clinic. While there, I began talking with the staff and asked if they had room to bathe my dog after her shots. They had room on their schedule and so, I purchased a wash package. I was told it would be about an hour, so I went on home. Much to my surprise, about 30 minutes later, I received a phone call that she was ready. I went to pick her up and she looked great!! She was happy and had a colorful bandana around her neck! The reasons, that 1. his one eye's eyelash was cut off for some reasons, and nobody told us about so we found it out when we got home! Half was missing...and we love his long eyelashes! 2nd. that we were done the same like before service wise even asked this time keep the hair longer and for some reasons we were charged more $10 we do not know why??? My husband picked it up and he didn't know what to do so he just paid it...but only thing he was told by person who was checked him out "if he wants to tip". We love the place and would like to give other try and hoping that last time just was an accident! • I was informed that my pet (6 mo puppy) did not like his nails being trimmed and was uncooperative during this procedure and possibly snipped at or attempted to bite the groomer. Many of my pet's nails are dark (black) so identifying where the "quick" ends is difficult; making a difficult task more so. It was suggested that I work with my puppy's nails to make him less difficult when this procedure is performed by a groomer. My feeling is that most dog owners probably do not attempt this procedure on their pets and therefore defer this task to the professionals. A potential solution might be to muzzle the pet prior to clipping or sanding their nails to avoid the possibility of being bitten. • I have only one complaint, and it's monumental in my mind. Upon checking out, the groomer, whom I have worked with before but am reluctant to reveal her name, SOLICITED A TIP FROM ME. I was unsure of how to handle the situation, believing a bill for a haircut for two dogs in the amout of $82 + was sufficient however I felt obliged to add more money to the total based on her comments. So, I wrote a check for $90 and left feeling extremely disappointed with the situation. The dogs look good, however I may return with one of them because her head needs to have more taken off. I hope it's not your policy to solicit because if it is, you will surely lose business.
